Michele Fritzler, President
Michele Fritzler has a life long love of the creative arts. A television media production professional since her high school days, Michele is employed at KATU (channel 2) in Portland. Michele and her husband Dave live in Hillsboro and have four children. One of her passions is children’s art education, and she is a Co-director of Tualatin Valley Jr. Academy’s Art Smart program for grades K- 6. Michele also uses her creativity and love of helping people move toward their dreams, as a Realtor for Windermere Baldwin Properties, and is also actively involved with family, church and community activities.
Victoria Shepard, Treasurer and former President
Victoria Shepard has served on the board since 2001 and she is presently Vice President of Sequoia Gallery & Studios. She grew up in the community and graduated from Hilhi. She earned a B.A. in English, with a minor in drama, and Secondary Teaching Certificate from Portland State University. She is mother to three grown children and lives in Hillsboro with her husband.
Paul Oler, former President and former Treasurer
Paul Oler, Treasurer and Past President, is a vocal artist, a Bass in the Oregon Chorale. Formerly a professor of Philosophy at San Jose State University, a management development specialist for Tektronix, a management and organization development consultant for several clients, and Human Resource Manager for New Tech Electric. A Texan by birth, Oler migrated to California, and as professor at SJSU, he led an academic year study-tour of Europe. He studied business and Bible at Abilene Christian University, Philosophy and Education at San Jose State, and Philosophy of Education at Stanford University. Today he is retired, and spends his time in the arts, in writing, and in religious education.
Mark Flannery, Secretary
Mark Flannery, Secretary, grew up in eight states, and has lived in the Hillsboro area since 1978. Mark attended Florida College, and has a B.S. in Geography from Western Kentucky University. He has been a cartographer with the US Forest Service for 29 years, designing, compiling and editing maps of National Forests and Wilderness areas. He also serves as advisor to the state geographic names boards for Oregon and Washington. Mark's wife Shelley co-owns a business providing supplies for rug hooking. They have three teenaged children. Mark sings baritone in the Oregon Chorale. He also sings with HCA's vocal ensemble, "The young... & the rest of us", who perform "on call" around the Hillsboro area, and serves as their road manager. Mark enjoys gardening, hiking, history, travel, and creating vast databases - and editing them.
